I was lucky enough to see a yellow Diablo in Chicago last year. It was amazing. Some guy was driving it down the road, so that made it 10x better.
It sounds like you had an amazing day.
I have yet to see a newer Ferrari.

I spend a lot on the road travelling for my work and some exotics I've seen so far:
Lambo Countach
Lambo Diabolo
Most Merc's, old and new ( went to a Vintage car show the other day )
Rollses and Benleys
Porsches 959, 911, GT2 (went to the Porsche days at Spa-Franchorchanps this summer)
Ferrari F-40, 550, 360
Aston Martin Vantage and Vanquish
Jaguar XK series
Still on my list of "have-to-see-and-hear-before-I-die":
Ferrari F-50, McLaren F-1!!!! Although I visited the McLaren factory a couple of years ago, I actually never have seen or heard one driving...

True. Only 56 or so were build road legal when they left the factory. However, McLaren's customer service, can modify any car into any spec afterwards. This is what happens sometimes when an F1 changes hands. So it is very unlikely that you will see one, and if you do, consider youself very, very lucky!!

It's an advantage of living in Tokyo, despite it's expensive living cost and all that.
A couple of weeks ago, I heard a growl of engine, which I only hear on video, and I was passed by a red Diablo AND F355 cruising together.
Also, Lotus Elise is very popular, and that's not street legal in some countries.
I was fortunate to see the McLaren F1 at the British Motor Show, and it was one of a charity ride, and you pay a little and get a ride on your dream car, such as Lotus Elise, Europe, Esprit, McLaren F1 and many more.
I didn't know about it, and by the time I got there, all the time slots were full.
The owner of the McLaren was very generous, giving people the opportunity to take pictures freely, and each ride, he rocket started the car to have the passengers experience the true performance of it. I'm sure the tires got worn out just on that day, and each set would probably cost like $2000 or so.

wow last year I saw a yellow Diablo too in Chicago. Maybe it was the same one. but it was sitting at a stoplight and I was drooling at it and the guy was probaly scared of me cause I was just standing there. I dont know if u ever heard of the place (forget the name) but it was right in front of the toy store with real exotic and expensive toys. right near the building where Oprah tapes her show. I dont know if some of you know who she is cause she might not be played in other countries not sure.
