I was wondering if anyone wanted to share how much they paid for their Murcielago? It would help to put it into as many currencies as possible.

Hey Sleezin, I mean Sizzilin

You say performance exhaust... What does that do. That was done by the manufacturer?

Have you heard about any other options available for the Murc, (by manufacturer or after-market)?

Murcielago prices, of course, vary by country of origin, but here in the US, I typically see prices for around $265,000. There are some dealers that can consistantly get higher prices for their cars, but there is nothing unique about their cars. I am very familiar with several dealerships and typically find they have unrealisticly high prices. For some time Lamborghini Beverly Hills were selling Murcies for $320,000.

I have seen a few good buys for less than $255,000, but they don't last long. These are cars that I consider of acceptable quality. I have actually already seen a few poorly cared for Murcies that I will not pursue for my clients. I find it amazing that people will buy a car as technically and performance impressive and abuse the life right out of the car in a matter of months. Very sad.

Tony, the Al Burtoni preformance exaust wasnt optional I bought it from Italy and had it imported to the US and the base price for my Murcielago was $315,000 but by the time everything was said and done it was $354,000. (This Murcielago isnt mine I found it on the Al Burtoni website)

It adds 10 horsepower. Im getting real mad because if going 90 down the road I get pulled over for two things: 90 in a 70 zone, and a loud exaust. But I think the sound is great.

I have heard the "quad exhaust" posted by sizzilinS7 previously at the dealer. It is definitely much louder than stock. Not sure if I like the sound since it has a much deeper note and tends to resonate a bit at idle. Plus the stock exhaust looks better IMO. Stanford European in Palo Alto is selling it for $7000.

Another option the dealer suggested was to replace the secondary cats with test pipes. Cost is about $3000 (which is a lot for just straight pipes). The mechanic said the car will be much louder, will be emissions legal still, and will add about 40 horses.

By the way, my dad just took delivery of new Murci. Color is light blue (equivalent of the Ferrari California blue) and looks gorgeous. He ordered the car and paid MSRP for it. All we can say that the car is much faster than his other car, the Ferrari 360. The lambo corners flatter and harder too. Engine sounds great but exhaust may be a bit too soft. Can hardly hear the exhaust going through a tunnel. Much softer exhaust note than Ferrari 360. Some pics and and more driving impressions will be posted later.

which exhaust sound is better? which is louder?

do you have the normal exhaust system with you 360?

Hi Menu,

The stock exhaust on the lambo is quiet on the outside compared to the modified one. It's hard to hear the stock exhaust of the lambo from the inside. Most of what you hear is the engine instead, which is great.

The 360 has the stock exhaust which is much louder than the lambo at full throttle.

I love Murcis, but if I had a choice, I would take the Pagani. It is faster and you would turn even more heads in that than in the Lambo. But then again, I would probly want to save some money and get the Murci.

Yes, you always have to pay to transefer any vehicle registration to your name unless you buy a vehicle from a dealer where you can build up your tax credit as i do, that way you pay your taxes just a couple of times and than just roll over the taxes as you roll over vehicles. J

Ouch. Ģ312,000 is a LOT of money, some people says there is no car worth that sort of money, but it's all relative. I hate being boudn by restrictions, so if you can afford a Pagani, go for it. You'd be one of the select 30/year.

How does the Pagani fair against other super cars? ?

I would have thought it was in the top 20 at least, it smokes Lamborghini on the track (I watched the Lamborghini Vs. Pagini Zonda) (http://www.racingflix.com)
