h22/f22 tranny swap........

hello out there i have a h22a in my ride and it runs good, but my tranny is starting to go out, especially the first gear, i'm tired of forcing it in there or just using the 2nd gear.... i've been looking for a tranny for a week now, and i was thinking about putting a tranny from an accord so i'd get better gas mileage, but i dont know wich accord tranny models will fit on my 94 h22a.... i was wondering if you can help me out with this, if you or you know someone who's selling a tranny for a h22, lemme know, if you dont, maybe you can give me some hints and answer my questions. just because you cant put it into first good ur getting a new tranny? mine does the same thing but i dont feel the need to replace the tranny. i think you can just replace something in there instead of buying a new one.

yea, i'm pretty sure it's the synchros that are going out, but to fix them or replace them would probably cost just as much as buying a whole new tranny, so i went and bought one i found on ebay for $320, that's not a bad deal....... now i just gosta put it in....... and get a new clutch....

oh ok. good luck with that. my transmission does the same thing but i think ill keep it for a bit longer.
