Okay, so it was raining really hard on Friday, and i had to make a trip to the city, where ther is a lot of puddles, so i took out the CAI, and put the filter right at the Throttle Body like Greg (88CivicDX) has it and Holy shit, this thing is so fukin loud and my car vibrated from the filter at like 3000 RPM, and i feel a lil increase in power, but that just might be in my head! I just thought i would share!

like directly on the throttle body? I used to have it that way, then i had it as a short ram. Right now its off cause i really need to clean the filter, so im running stock airbox right now :)

i actually have my filter directly on the throttle bottle no pipe what so ever. i've always had it like that since my swap. my car is loud but it was loud before the swap, so i dont know if it acutally made it louder but my 2 3/4 piping all the way to the converter doesnt help either:D in noise reduction.

lol - you think that's bad... my '76 Civic 1200 bored and stroked out to 1400cc (EN1 crank and rods, goldwing 73mm pistons) had twin Dell Orto carbs with ram pod filters on all 4 barrels almost touching the firewall - damn that bastard was noisy.

Like you say I doubt you would be making more power with the filter in that position…… “Every 3.3 degrees Celcius increase in air temperature is a 1% drop in power”, the temp there has got to be more than where your cone normally sits.

I was thinking about this the other day and i was thinking if i put a cervini's hood with a functional ram air hood scoops, i can make something that goes directly to the filter.... that could work, right?

I have my filter right on it too. well actually it is a mustang filter. mine was stolen and I am to lay to get a new one so ..... I thought it was a little faster too but I think maybe part of it was that it was so loudall the wy through the rpm's it made the effect hat it was faster...it is all imagination...just pretend you are going really realy fast. haha:)

Here is mine, Do not be too harsh. You can see the filter from the inlet of the scoop. I don't get the really nice Honda booming sound unless I take the whole filter and pipe assembly off.
I hope this works
