My dog ate it...

Just had to share this...
Built a Tamiya R89C recently -- took weeks of painstaking work. Screwed up the windows with over spray right at the end. They have that frosted look...
Ordered another R89C off eBay (NIB, Shrink-wrapped) with the idea of redoing the windows. Shrink-wrapped yes, NIB no. Everything accounted for except for the clear sprue! No windows...
Have been working for weeks on the red and white R89C variant the R90V. Bodies all done; next step windows. I am working on it last night when I hear a scary crunching sound. Dog ate the R90V's windshield!
Clear sprue had fallen on the floor somehow...
Is someone trying to tell me something?
Plan to order three new clear sprues from Tamiya tomorrow.
Wish me luck,
Tim

OUCH!
I feel very sorry about what happened to you, but I have a feeling jay can sympathize even more ;)
Anyway, keep at it. When it's all finished with crystal clear windows, you'll definitely agree it was worth all the hassle. :)

Man, that really really sucks, but just think of it this way, since you have to wait for the clear parts, you can take your time on the rest of the model.
Did it ever occur to you to feed the dog with dog food?:D

Yeah I’ve tried that, but he insists on trying to eat everything else. For example the vacuum cleaner in the garage with the cord in 4 pieces!
:)
Thanks for all the kind thoughts and yeah -- the wait for the new windows will keep me from rushing the rest of the model. There is always a silver lining -- I guess...

I've got a white and ginger cat who likes to sleep in my spray booth!
Have you ever tried to bath a cat?........ Well try getting paint off!

Sorry to hear of your tale of woe. Keep at it, you'll beat it in the end!
Never buy into that shrink-wrapped myth. Fact is the Japanese kit manufacturers don't shrink-wrap their kits at the factory. The importers or even the retail store usually does them - a thin plastic coating is a guarantee of nothing.

Sorry to hear about the misfortune. I don't have a dog right now, used to have one and will get another one early next year, but I'm sorry to say, my modeling room is stricly prohibited. No pets allowed!
Take your time and it'll come out good!
