Here is a weird/stupid question

A good friend of mine has either a 90 or 91 eclipse (The old style eclipse) and i had to drive it for her to get a new battery in it yesterday... This car doesn't have power steering. Did the old models not have power steering? I'm thinking maybe the pump or belt is shot but i thought i would ask you guys here first. Sorry if this sounds really stupid but any help is greatly appreciated! Thank You!

If it's Turbo it better have power steering. I'm not to sure of the non-turbo cars(worthless J/k :silly2: ). Have her check her fluid out, it might be low, or worse yet, OUT! It's in the lower right corner of the engine bay, near the driver's side headlight. Good luck!
