I was wondering if anyone has this similar problem and if they do what does it mean. I have a apex'i n1 catback which i think might make the smoke more obvious. It only does this whenever i take off real fast or shift at high rpm's. Everyone tells me when i'm racing that when i shift into second a black cloud of smoke shoots out. I wanna know who else this happens to or is it just me?

Black smoke means a rich condition. Blue is oil burn. If it is just black you may be running it a little rich. Do you have any upgrded fuel components or fuel controllers?

Thanks for the info. and no i don't have any upgraded fuel components. Although i was thinking about a fuel pressure regulator and some air to fuel ratio guages and stuff. Is tweaking all the fuel components actually worth the time and money?

Heres a stupid question, for a stupid person: (such as myself)
In the cold, like here in Chicago...
When punching it... its perfectly normal to have the nice exhaust come trailing out for 50 feet or so...? Its normal exhaust cuz of the cold... no color differential...
Just curious
