Do you guys get a complete coverage after your first light spray of body color?
I usually spray it on so light that primer is still visible...it isn't until the second coat that it's completely covered. I was just wondering how everyone elses looked after the first coat.

It is good to start with a light dry and slightly rough first coat because it gives good grip for the wetter and final color coats.

I don't want complete coverage after just the first coat. That would mean it went on too fast, and will probably run. The first one or two coats should be light and a bit rough looking, and gradually get heavier/wetter for each successive coat, until fully covered and glossy.

With mine......the first 1-2 layers are sprayed very very lightly...the paint should just be reaching the kit as you spray

When using an air brush, I mist the first couple of coats. When spraying TS paints I never mist coat, every coat is fairly heavy. My technique with TS paints has come to "flowing" on all coats, especially the last one. I use a body holder that I can rotate in my hand til the paint flashes( solidifies). This basically keeps the paint right where it contacted the body, disallowing it to run.:sun:
