I just got into an accident with my 91 civic and i have been dreaming about getting a prelude for a long time. only problem is i dont know a whole lot about em cause no one i knows owns one. I was thinking about getting an early 90's model cause i like that body style, but is there anything i should be looking for? what kinda prices are resonable for a prelude in the 93-95 range? Are those even worth getting?

well any info or links you might be able to throw me is gladly accepted. thanks.

I got a 95 prelude DOHC VTEC and I love it. it's quick as fuck. I live in cali city of riverside and over here you see any type of car, and every body I have race with I have smoked them (accord,civic's,crx,91-95 acura intengra,91 3000GT,96 eclipse, and some other one's I can't remenber)

get a 1995 or earlier. it'll be obd 1 emissions and you'll get more power out of modifications. or you could get a maxima, i test drove a 3000gt a prelude and a maxima when i was looking for a new car. the 6 cylinders both had the advantage over the prelude and the maxima was my favorite. the honda was still fun though

ok, well that guys a idiot. hes just whoring up the board and being stupid. i have the 4th gen and i was considering to get a vtec but they are very very hard to find in good condition and are expensive if you do find it in good condition. i found my 1995 Si for 6700 and its in mint condition. vtecs are very expensive, and if you plan to turbo the car, the Si is a much better engine, it has a stronger build as well as a lower compression ratio which is what you want when u get a turbo. otherwise, if you have the money, and you find a good deal, and you plan to go N/A, then get the vtec. i also heard the 4thgen vtecs are faster then the 5th gens because the 5th gens have taller gearing then the 4th gen preludes. theres only about 5hp difference i think and in my opinion, the 4th gens look much better then the 5th. if you want to get a prelude, only get Si, Se, or vtec, no lower then that.

heres the deal with the years. the 4th gen includes the years 1992-1996
1992-1993 are different then the 1994-1996 models. they have a bit different interior design and are nicer then the 1992-1993. the 92-93 also have dimmer speedometers then the 94-96. but what i would get is 94-95 because you get the new interior and you get the OBD I sensor, the 96 has OBDII which is bad unless u plan to keep ur car stock without any performance mods. remember OBD I is ur friend. the 94-96 also have slight differences in exterior design but its very small. i hope this helps you out and looking back, i wrote alot! if you have any more questions, just reply or pm me or something.
