S2000 Type R?

I was just surfing around looking for info on the 2004 NSX when i came across what seems to be information on an upcoming 2003 S2000 Type R accually its called A S2000R. http://www.mcclatchie.com/reviews/S2000R.html Just the though of an S2000 with 360Hp and a 44 pound weight lose on an already light car. Let me know what you guys thing. Is it real? and if so what do you guys think? I know i want one right now.

I've never heard of the S2000 TYpe R, but based on the report, if it's real, that's amazing!

I guess RX-8 will have to hold the highest revving engine with the S2000R!

i believe this has already gone around in the other forums..

hey i don't get why honda doesn't pursue this idea, it would be perfect, a little spendy but so is the NSX-R

i checked into japanese honda website, nothing like this appeared.

if this is true, than what engine is 3L vtec non-v6 24valve? no such thing right! - C30A, honda doesn't build any of that anymore.

and even the best honda C32B from NSX only got 280ps. how on earth that so called s2000r can get 360hp?

plus the website didn't even mention the top speed. or i just can't find it where...

even a ss2200 story doesn't heard anymore. wonder what happen to that car.

Honda has made a TYPE-R for most of their sport cars though too!! But jus wonderin, IF this S2000R is real, IF it came to the States, how much do you think it'll cost. Im sayin around 30- 40,000 bucks...

damm... had my hopes up for a minute wehn i read this awhile ago... well its fake.. but i think they will have it under consideration in the near future... my honda dealer told me the main reason is because they think that s2k owners will want to enjoy the car for now cuz its only been out for 3 years...so you never know..
would definitely trade in my ride and put some down payment for this baby...:tongue:

alright all you smart ones, it is real..... not in terms of it's on sale, but it is being tested and it is projected to be put on sale... i have no idea for how much or anything like that, but i just wanted to say that to shut all you guys up. And for all you who said it wasn't real...... do actually think that a company like honda would pass up an opportunity to sell more cars?

personally i would mind havin one and yea it'll be fast as all hell.

but don't look to do anything but race with it, it's not exactly gonna be a go to get the groceries kinda car.

the only way ill believe you is if you give me a link or page that shows it. Yes personally i do think it might come out, cuz WHY NOT? but theres no proof of it so far on the internet or any magazines. 'TILL then ill just enjoy the my03 s2000

oh and go to www.s2ki.com and post that somewhere, cuz many pplz have, and i guarantee you will get negative feedbacks and no one will believe you. Not trying to flame you but just sayin SO FAR it ain't true.

didn't honda come out with the type V?? a new model S2000 with a vgs system?(like an improved LSD for new drivers) i've seen parts for sale on like ebay is that whut your looking for?

Man, that sucks. When I read that article, I got so pumped up. S2000's are my dream cars! Oh well. One can always hope...

i don't really give it cars if there is no Type R or R. at least they bought the Fsctory Module to use, and i'm a happy driver of a red 1:biggrin:
