2001 Intrepid ticking noise!!

I have a 2000 dodge intrepid 2.7 that has a ticking noise comming from the engine..when you first start it its not to bad but the longer its running you can start hearing it..idk if its the valves or what i hear that intrepid engines go bad anyways

Could be the timing chain and get it fixed asap if it is.If you don't,the timing chain breaks and bends the valves.It is an interferance engine.The 2.7 eats up crankshafts and have a weak bottom end.Also known for water pumps and timing chains.Chrysler redid the waterpump 5 times.Put in Synthetic oil for your next oil change,know for sludge build up and use Mobil 1 syntheyic oil
