ignition, o/d off codes help...

Hello all. Can anyone explain how these o\d off flash codes work? i have a 94 jgc laredo 4x4 and my o\d off light comes on shortly after starting an i have no overdrive when light is on. I just found out these code exist and tried it an the o\d off light flashes but i have no idea how they work. thanks all in advance, this forum ha been most helpful

It does it 1 time, pause then 6 more. Then 55 which means end of code. thanks

Code 16 refers to the transmission temperature sensor and circuit. You might have a bad connection/ short or a bad sensor.
