Flasher fuse and Heater Blower issue

My signals quit today at the same time as my blower motor on my 98 voyager. Seemed kind of odd that they would both go at the same time. I replaced the #12 fuse for the flasher and the blower starts working again too. The fuse is labeled for the flasher and back up light. Nothing to do with the blower. Any ideas?

Sounds like one of those mysterious electrcal problems these vans have, lol. Can you try a different flasher fuse? Maybe switch the hazard with the other. I remember a friend had this problem but it was on an import. Will look into it more and post back.

That fuse is in both circuits. F12 is the supply for the front blower relay coil and the ignition "run" signal to the flasher module.

Any ideas? Some time ago, someone told me that fuse #21 was the 40amp fuse for the front blower motor, relay and resistor block in the '98 edition of Caravan and Voyager. Was I misinformed?

That is the the way it is labeled Which is why I found it odd that replacing the burnt out #12 got my blower working again

One fuse feeds the blower through a closed set of relay contacts when energized, and the other fuse feeds the coil circuit of the relay

On my 2000, f12 is labeled as fan and backup lights, and neither of them work with the fuse blown. The flasher module also doesn't work.

I've documented what I've done so far in this thread: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=340871

The admittedly generic wiring diagram in the back of my Chilton's shows no congruity between the fan/backup lights (shown on the same fuse) and the flashers. There isn't a number designated on the schematic for the flasher for the 2000.

These are the wiring diagrams I'm attempting to use:

We have Chrysler engineering to thank for the popularity of that thread... and everyone who has contributed content to it. Can a Wikipedia entry be far away? There's nothing like cold weather to point out certain shortcomings. I have never owned a vehicle that had so many blower-related problems. Something has gone wrong every three or four years since my 1996 GC/LE was new, like clockwork.
