NEW YORK - Another Spears baby is reportedly on the way and it's not Britney's. Jamie Lynn Spears, the 16-year-old "Zoey 101" star and sister of Britney, tells OK! magazine that she's pregnant and that the father is her longtime boyfriend, Casey Aldridge.
"It was a shock for both of us, so unexpected," she says. "I was in complete and total shock and so was he."
Spears is 12 weeks along and initially kept the news to herself when she learned of the pregnancy from an at-home test and subsequent doctor visit, she told the celebrity magazine, which hits stands in New York on Wednesday and the rest of the country by Friday.
"As soon as I found out for sure from the doctor, I took two weeks to myself where I didn't tell anybody," she says. "Only one of my friends knew because I needed to work out what I would do for myself before I let anyone's opinion affect my decision. Then I told my parents and my friends. I was scared, but I had to do what was right for me."
Spears broke the news to her mother, Lynne, just before Thanksgiving, the magazine says.
"She was very upset because it wasn't what she expected at all," Spears says. "A week after, she had time to cope with it and became very supportive."
Lynne Spears, already grandmother to Britney's young sons, says: "I didn't believe it because Jamie Lynn's always been so conscientious. She's never late for her curfew. I was in shock. I mean, this is my 16-year-old baby."
She says her actress daughter, the telegenic heroine of the popular Nickelodeon series "Zoey 101," has known Aldridge for years and began dating him in high school.
Jamie Lynn plans to raise the baby in her home state of Louisiana "so it can have a normal family life."
The third season of "Zoey 101" wraps up Jan. 4.
"I haven't spoken to (Nickelodeon) personally, but they have always been so great to me over the past years and have given me so many opportunities."
What message does she want to send to other teens about premarital sex?
"I definitely don't think it's something you should do; it's better to wait," she says. "But I can't be judgmental because it's a position I put myself in."

Bye bye Nick! They let Melissa Joan Hart go after she started growing up and that photo shoot she did. Heck, what will they do with this. Although Disney might have to keep Vanessa for the 3rd Musical.
Companies should learn something by now. 16, dang. How can it be unexpected? It was probably without a condom or pills. The Spears legacy lives on.

I suspect a condom with a hole poked through it... but I can't decide which one likely poked it

What's the advice in the book? Buy lots of extra baby gear for when your underage girl gets knocked up?
I was gonna post a big rant basically about "who fucking cares" when I saw the title...but after reading the article, this is just hilarious.

Our morning paper had an article in the Entertainment section concerning the show she does, "Zoey 101". It said the end of the third season leaves us with a cliffhanger. Quoting from the article:
"Zoey 101" wraps up its third season as one of the Nickelodeon's top-rated shows with a Jan. 4 cliffhanger worthy of the recent "Desperate Housewives" show, in which a tornado struck Wisteria Lane.
Nobody's life is on the line in a kid's show, of course. But tweens will have to fret along with Zoey over whether she should remain at her sun-dappled California boarding school, Pacific Coast Academy, or move to London with her parents."
Better add an unexpected pregnancy to the plot twist:lol:. So I guess it boils down to remaining in CA. and have the baby at school, or move to London and let her parent raise the kid.
My 10 year old daughter watches that show and when I told her this morning that she was pregnant , she rolled her eyes in disgust and said, "What!?"

Could be jail time for Aldridge, she's under the age of consent in any of the states they live or work in.
Here's an expert form Louisiana's laws:
In Louisiana, the age of consensual sexual intercourse is 17. The state's statutory-rape law goes into effect if the offender is 19 or older and has had sexual relations with a minor between ages 12 and 17; such offenses are considered felony crimes.
There's also a misdemeanor version of the law, which states that if the offender is between ages 17 and 19, and has sexual relations with a person who is between ages 15 and 17 with the difference in both participants' ages being at least two years, the offender could be charged with misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Those convicted face up to 10 years behind bars, with or without hard labor.

it`s so easy to avoid pregnancy, i don`t get why these fucking teens are having kids, not to mention she should be extra careful because she`s on a show. just shows you how stupid some people are.

I found it interesting that her mother sold the story to the newspapers and tabloids and actually allowed the baby's father to stay over at the Spears home (no doubt knowing that they were having sex. I mean come on - I know my parents know without asking, it's a parent thing). All this from a woman who was going to release a parenting book.
I think my mom said it best when she told me "I hate people. All they do is fuck things up." Too true.

If by sad you mean OUTSTANDING! j/k It is a shame though. So many girls her age, or younger, are being "broken in" way too soon. My sister is 14, and she tells me about how her friends are all sexually active:shakehead (http://www.ikeyless.com) Then again, I remember how people would spread rumors about that sort of thing all the time when I was that age. I don't know though - it seems that Jamie Lynn's generation has more pressure than ever to be sexualized from stuff like MTV and even Disney Channel. I'm beginning to sound like those Bible thumpers that said the same thing about MY generation, but there is a difference I feel. At least in my time, MTV showed quality music videos from real bands. Am I alone in this?
