DIC/HVAC fuse problem

My problem started intermittently, but now it is constant. Symptoms:
1. AC/heater does not work.
2. Rear defogger.
3. Driver information.
4. Heated seat.
5. DRL not working.
Sometimes, when it did work, and I turned the AC onto 2 or above, it quit working.
Last night, I opened the fuse box in the glove box, replaced the 15 amp fuse with a 15 amp spare from the fuse box under the hood, and it still did not work. The fuse I replaced was the fused labeled DIC/HVAC according to the pontiac book.
I called a dealership and said there might be a short or something not connected correctly. Any suggestions of how I can check this myself?
Thanks

By your symptoms, you need an ignition switch/harness assembly. The contacts get weak and start to arc, causing all sorts of bizarre electrical gremlins. Check the "tips and maintenance" sub-forum for installation instructions. This is a fairly common issue on GP's.
