i have a couple questions about painting, and Lowering... for the under body painting.. are my colors in the picture correct? cause in the instructions its wierd and i don't understand.

Is this how you lower a car... just cut the parts of the springs?

is that tamiya orange

It is Tamiya "bright orange

Looks good.

As for the lowering, some kits need some other things changed too, like, because the springs a smaller, the bits that click into them on both sides need to be changed a bit. If you could get a picture of the instructions where it has the assembly of the suspension, it would be easier to say.

Why do you want to lower it? I think the ride height is good box stock. ave you at least tried test-fitting it all to see where you stand on ride height?

Looks good, although I have to say orange sure is a different color for a car. nice to see how the engine looks since all the japanese models I've made so far have been curbside.

Looking good so far. Unusual choice of colours for a 300zx - can't wait to see it finished.

Nice, what brand/color paint is that silver you used on the engine? Looks close to Plastikote Chrome

Actually Steve Millen sold a $65,000 Super Z (GTZ I think) in the early 90's. His promo model reviewed in all the Magazines was almost this exact color. It had "shark gill" vents on both fenders and and F40 type rear wing -- nice project for some advanced modler.

After you get the orange paint where you want it, spray some Testors Dullcote on the desired areas:)

ive heard alot obout Testors Dullcote, i know that this makes gloss colors looke DULL but where can i pick up some of this stuff, and does this stuff work like a clear coat, but instead of giving the paint a gloss it takes away the gloss:confused:

does this stuff work like a clear coat, but instead of giving the paint a gloss it takes away the gloss That's exactly what it does! It should be available anywhere Testors paints are sold.

Trying to decide wheels at the moment.. the Tamiya GT3 wheels are too large, and the car gets lifted off the ground liek 2300 inches. I think i will put on the chromes rims/tires from Tonioseven!! thanks !
