Sensors in Driver side head

Hey- I have a 95 blazer with a vortec. when replacing my head gaskets, i broke one of the sensors in the driver side head. It's the lower sensor underneath what looks like the knock sensor. The passenger also has the upper knock? sensor but nothing else. If I had to guess, the lower (broken) sensor looks just like the coolant temp sensor in the front of the engine. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Can you get to it to drill out.
Look on old head.
Does it screw into the water jacket or just a thread hole?

I can screw it out. it's under the knock sensor.

Was it a sensor with wire or wires on it?
If so and you can get it out replace it replace it.

This sounds like the coolant temperature gauge sensor, if I am not mistaken. The one in the front of the engine is for the ecm(yellow/black wires) the other one in the head is the guage sensor (green wire if I remember).

Sounds right!! is it the same sensor as the one in the front of the engine?? My auto parts store only has a listing for a coolant temp sensor....

Tell them it is for the dash gauge.
They should list two different ones.
One for pc and one for dash gauge.
Match it with the plugin on your wiring harness.

If they can not give you the right one find another parts place or go to the dealer.
Sometimes it is a dealer ideam.
And Some times dealer OEM are better and sometimes cheaper.
