Hey everyone,
My P/A Ultra has noisy power steering pump, so when I checked the fluid this evening, I noticed that it was very low. I filled it to the appropriate level, started her up, and saw fluid draining out the bottom. :uhoh:
My questions are:
How difficult is it to rebuild if I buy the kit?
Any special tools needed?
How do I remove the pulley?
Would my time be better spend paying the $85 for a reman'd pump, and call it done?
Is removal/replacement that difficult?
Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time.:)

Most likely the job will take more than one hour to include the pulley exchange and bleeding air out of the system. :grinyes:

Well, I got the original pump off, but in the process, caused another issue.
There was a wire connector that utilized the frame of the power steering pump as a mounting surface.
Because i did not notice them, as I removed the pump bolts, the weight of the pump broke of one of the wores at the connector.:banghead:
Any idea what this wire is?
How do I go about replacing the connector and reattaching the wire?
I really hope I haven't messed tings up too bad.
By the way, thanks for the link BNaylor. Those directions were perfect!
