This has got me stumped my wife's 1994 Camaro V-6 3.8 a few days ago in the Morning started to run Like KKK Felt like no Power .I replaced all the plugs and wires ect ect the normal things .Runs so so ok at Idle or at around 2000 and up rpm in neutral and park Now for the ??? drive it and it feels like the older carb cars when the choke stuck I could run faster than this thing accelerates I feels like To much fuel .A friend put his scanner on it but only code was the RH O2 Sensor he doesn't think this would control fuel or Air .O its OB1 any Idea on checking there is a sensor on the Air intake .O the other strange thing is a few times when I drove it It would come out of it for about 30 sec and then same .Weather here is 20-35 deg thanks Ron
UP-Date from above
yesterday I ran a compression test all are ok with-in 10-15 lbs of eash other 145 to 160 when I pulled the plugs the LH were ok looked normal light brown the RH side were all 3 BLACK removed and cleaned EGR valve its on that side O allso sprayed clean frt throtle body a little cleaned.Allso replace the small air charge sensor in intake hose between aircleaner and engine intake. Were to go Now Help Help Thank You

.A friend put his scanner on it but only code was the RH O2 Sensor he doesn't think this would control fuel or Air .
:screwy: Your friend needs a good smack then. Your computer relies on the Oxygen sensors to determine what air/fuel mix the engine needs.
Oh and for the love of God, please be a little more careful when you type. I doubt half the people who read this knew what you were trying to say.

I got lost at this part: "1994 Camaro V-6 3.8"
No such thing. 93-95 1/2 were 3.4's (as it's imprimted on the top of the intake). From the second half of 95 through 02 were 3.8's.
Have you tried checking the coils though? Sounds like one or more cyliners aren't firing if it smells rich and sounds like a carb.

yup, got to agree with blindexed..... I just had the same problem and it turned out to be a misfire in cyl. 5 so I just bought the coil pack and voila. fixed. (yes i know i have to buy all the packs but im still short on cash.)

Since the plugs on the rigth were black, I would believe your code was RH oo2, constant rich, so it's doing it's job.
I think you might have been on the right track with the EGR, it can cause this type of problem. BLind, correct if I'm wrong, but the 3.4 used a digital EGR right? If so you test resistance between it 3 coils to verify operation.

SES light never even comes on now. The EGR's they put on the 3.4's hardly ever work properly anyway. I can't see that being the problem, but who knows.
