Hey, Im a new guy here. I got a question-
How do you get new rims for your tamiya models? Besides buying the whole model kit that has the rims you want.
Any cool web links to good car modeling sites would be cool if you got it like that!:smoker:

Welcome to AF!
Fujimi, Aoshima, Pegasus, Hoppin' Hydros are all companies that sell just wheel sets in many different styles. There are many others as well...
But, not all mount onto the cars the same way, so some simple modifications may be necessary. Like this:

Just like cameras (Nikon mount, Canon mount), we can now give rims monikers of Tamiya mount, Fujimi mount and so on.

I am back here and I think on a more steady basis... I wanted to bring this thread back to life because I recently found a pretty cool thing out you guys are REALLY going to like this unless you already knew.
I was able to order MY CHOICE of rims from ANY tamiya plastic model kit directly from tamiya and rims and tires were only like $6 a piece. the best part is that there is kinda like a bonus in that you get the whole tree that the wheels are connected to... I got racing brakes and roll cages and a couple of headers and other pretty cool parts. hell I just used one of the HUGEST sets of racing brakes on the integra for a nice brake upgrade. NICE!
go to tamiya's website to look at the pics of all the different models they make then call them to order the rims from that set. just have the product# of that model or whatever so they know exactly what you want.

Hi!
If nothing else works try Hobby Link Japan at www.hlj.com and look for Fujimi's rims.
