no shit :slap: . a guy that works with a friend of mine totalled a $38,000 STI all because a bee flew in the window and hit him in the face :lol: . They are such a pain in the ass to work on and most parts are only availible at the dealer.

I wouldn't mind having an STi. Well, I'd get the Evo MR and my friend would get the Sti, because I have the Z and he has the stang. So we have to stay opposites.

i've driven both. both are equally fast and both have very high maintenence costs. the evo's drivetrain is not very durable though, trannies go up alot.

I hate sti's and evo's, fuckin ugly ass cars, almost as bad as the scion xb.

yea the WRX tranny (or atleast the early ones) were from the std impreza and are not designed to take the power of the turbocharged engine. The STI trans is built to handle that 300hp. The evo trans isn't very durable either. the one i drove was an 03 w/ 36,000 miles and the trans was done. There have been 2 or three come into the shop with trans problems.

heh... it was about 200/160 for awhile... i think it's back down to normal... 190/150 lol...

Sad part is that I know how bad it is depending on how hot my feet get.
