I got a 98 lumina and I would like to know how to go about reseting the change oil soon light.

I got a 98 lumina and I would like to know how to go about reseting the change oil soon light.
Turn the key in the ignition to the "ON" position, but don't start it. With the ignition in the "ON" position fully press the gas pedal down 3 times within 5 seconds. The light should flash twice. If it doesn't you need to try the procedure to reset the system again.
