Welcome to AF!!
As for the window check the wiring going from the switch to the motor and the wiring as it comes through the door. These are usually where the problems lie. As for the stalling, if he can restart the car right away after it stalls, I suggest you replace the crank position sensor. Random stalling is a common problem on GM cars and a classic symptom of impending crank position sensor failure.

well the thing is,ive read several things that says the wiring for the Passenger side windows, locks, and the fuel pump are all run through the same buss, and hooked up to the same wires,in the driver side floor...sometimes it will just stall when he is driving, and then sometimes if you leave it for several mins.you can restart it,but theres a good chance its going to die again in 5 mins.

it just seemed odd to me the passenger side window went out just a few days before it started stalling.and several people suggested maybe it was the fuel pump, which is what "these wires" are hooked up to and supposadly can shut off the fuel pump, along with passenger side windows, locks, and heated seats,

If someone could tell me where the buss is,itd also be appriciated, because to me this link describes what is wrong...

Under the l/s sill plate front door area, pull the carpet up, open the taping to access.

The ground locations changed with the 2000 model year. That article won't apply to your car. Best thing to do is check for fuel pressure &/or spark next time it won't restart. With the information we have so far I'd agree with GTP Dad that the crank sensor is failing.

ok thanks, ill let him know and we'll see if we can get things fixed,i just thought it was weird with that artical and all about the window, and how it stopped working the same week that it started stalling?
is the crank position sensor hard to replace?where is it located? And any idea of how much it would cost to have it replaced by a mechanic?like i said he works allot so he doesnt have much time.i know most of these questions most likely seem dumb but i dont know much about cars.
thanks!

The sensor is not hard to replace it is just hard to get to. The biggest problem is getting the bolt loose from the front of the engine. For this you will need an impact wrench. Access can also be a problem. If you don't have a good place to work on the vehicle take it to a mechanic it will be much easier on the back and worth the money. Probably a $200 job with the parts.

he lives in a different state then me and doesnt have a digital camera but i know where it was so ill do my best to describe it.
on the passenger floor board,up on the rocker panel.it wasnt dirty or anything he said but he took it apart and wrapped the wires around the buss (or ground, same thing) better and migically everything worked.he said its probably because everytime you get in and out of the car you step on it,so eventually it pulls it loose. hopefully this is our problem, and hopefully this thread can save somebody some major money :D
