Restoring Smooth Shifts With Transgo Kit

anyone that installed a transgo shift kit in the 4L60E, did it restore smooth shifts, i have been told that it will make the shifting hard like a full blown shift kit, but i thought that the transgo kits were to replace parts that were notorious for going bad or weak in the 4L60E? If this is true would it restore the smooth shifts, or would the kit make it shift hard, but the torque managment smooths it out, im just trying to get some clarity. I have an 02 4.8 Silverado and i get a slight delay in the 2-3 shift like a millisecond and it makes a bump noise when it does shift, i have my truck at the trans shop now with the kit, but he was was going to drive it and see what it was doing, thanks for your help guys!

The kit can be setup mild to wild (very hard shifts). The kit does fix some known issues with the 4L60E. Tell the installer you do not want really firm shifts. I went mild on a muscle car with a 4L60E and was very happy with the results. Nice crisp shifts. Under hard throttle, you will get firmer shifts (which is what you want).

Ok, i told him i was trying to eliminate a hard sounding/weird 2-3 shift. He said they would drive it and check it out to see if it was something else, and i havent heard from them yet and he said it would be done today.
