87 Oldsmobile 98 Regency
about 113k miles.
I was being lazy and took my car in to get my oil changed at a local garage. They only charged me $35.00 which I thought was a bargain I was expecting to pay about $50.
On the drive home I get about half-way and the "Oil" light lights up on the dash. I pull over to the next gas station and check the oil thinking it would be a little low but was I wrong. It was WAYY over filled. I went back to the place and got the run around about the manager being out of town and he was the only one who could authorize a refund or a redo. So after threatening to call the Better Business Bureau they suddenly got the idea to call the manager, even thought he was on vacation or whatever. He just told them to give me a refund and send me on my way. I never had service that bad and I will never go back to them.
Pissed off I went to autozone and after complaining to them for about 20minutes I bought some oil a new filter (they didnt change the old one) and a new gasket (figured i'd better change it since I'd be down there). I drained the oil dropped the pan and changed the filter right there in their parking lot but low and behold the light is still illuminated.
I checked and rechecked the oil and it is perfectly on the full line. Is there a way to reset it or is something wrong with my sensor?
*Sorry for the rant*

If there is no engine noise, make sure they did not knock the connector off the oil pressure sender near the oil filter, if ok get a pressure gage on the port the sender screws into and check the pressure mechanically.

Okay will do thnx for the input. There is no engine noise I know I have oil pressure I drove about 100miles today and no problems at all.
Today all i tried was unhooking my battery for 15minutes to see if that would reset it but it was still there.

UPDATE
ok so when I have time to look the weather is crappy and when i dont have time its nice and sunny outside. I did a quick glance under the hood and I didnt see the sending unit I'm guessing I probably have to be under the hood or I didnt look hard enough. I'm hoping they just knocked off the sensor.
If not I'll probably just change the sensor and hope thats it looking on autozones website they have a oil pressure switch if that the same thing?
I just changed my coolant level sensor too :( I guess 20 years is about the life of these sensors.

Okay I didnt get a chance to look "still raining" so I was just searching around because all I can find is the oil pressure switch the component location on autozones site says its located
Under hood, passenger side, lower engine area, below power steering pump, side of crank pulley, mounted in engine block
would these be considered the same sensor?
edit just read up some more they are the same sensor just two different names.
(forgive me if this is a stupid question) but when Im changing it will oil leak out?

Is that supposed to be plugged in? I never noticed it unplugged before.
