I'm looking for the complete strut & spring assembly for my '00 GT. I saw a picture once but can't find the post. I believe it goes for around $700 for all four.

Are you looking for specific high performance type or an OEM set of struts and springs?

I'm looking for a set of OEM struts & springs. I believe they can be purchased as a unit.
I'm currently running KYB struts & strut mounts along with Gen 2 ssc lowering springs & pogo eliminators (from zzperformance.com) & my ride is terrible.

You can purchase a set of used ones from Ed Morad at moradpartscompany.com. He has good stuff at reasonable prices. You can also check out his store on e-bay. I have purchased from him before and have been well satisfied.

Would my ride feel better by changing back to oem springs?

I believe the Monroe Quickstrut includes the spring. I'll go get you a link.
Here's the link & a pic.

Thanks for the link & picture but I recently purchased a used set of oem struts & springs from moradpartscompany.com thanks to GTP Dad's info. Supposedly the items have less than 50k miles on them.
I'm now trying to figure out if I should install all the oem stuff once I receive them, or keep my KYB struts & mounts & just use the oem springs?

I would try the KYB's with the stock springs. Of course make sure to use the proper equipment when you compress the springs. Using the wrong tool can result in a serious injury.

Using the oem springs with the KYB's was my initial idea. I'll have them installed at my local shop since I don't have a place to do it myself.
Do u know how to tell the difference between bad struts as compared to bad springs?

Bad struts will bounce to much, or be noisy (clunk, squeak or rattle). Bad springs will cause the car to sit uneven, or it will be very harsh and/or bottom out over bumps.

Forget the ride.. put lowering springs on the front and jam a couple spring rubbers in the rears for lift, then stuff some big ole meats under that back for that awesome 70's look. Just kidding... It depends on which KYB struts you have if it'll work, or at least work good. They make a set for specifically for lowering springs, but if your car had the anti-pogo cups you should be good because of the fact that the lowering struts don't need the cups. In which case, you will have a very nice ride with that setup. I'm going for the lowering springs in front and rubbers out back on mine!! haha

Thats what I'm concerned about, my ride is both bouncy & harsh. My struts & springs have less than 7k on them, I wonder if I just got a bad set. Reverting back to a complete oem setup might be my safest bet.
I never knew there were KYB's designed for lowering, however I do currently have the anti pogo washers installed. I need to ride in someone's GT with stock suspension to compare.

The ones designed to work with lowering springs are adjustable, the ones dasigned as factory replacements aren't. I personally like the stock ride, but with 200 lbs of stereo in the trunk I need a set of front lowering springs to get my car to sit level.

Because I have been using non-adjustable KYB struts with lowering springs, is it possible that I could have damaged my struts?

They should be fine, the only thing that happens is you get a shi++y ride. You want to sell the front springs and cups?

Can anyone tell me how difficult it is to replace the entire strut assy (like the QuickStrut)? I'm thinking it's about time to replace front and rear on my GP as well.

Just from personal projects If you have a complete strurt/spring ready to go in its a quick job ! 3 bolts on top of inner fender and then 2 bolts on the spindle! Remeber when you take anything apart on the front end the car will need an alignment !
Most car's have cam bolts for adjustments ! Try to set it at the strighhts point possible the keep the tire stright up and down ! Then get it to an alignment shop ASAP !
Just touching 1 bolt on the front end could change your camber / caster and towing !

Blazeracer, I was actually planning to sell the springs & cups. I think I still have the reciept showing when I bought them.
