My windshield wipers just work part time on 1996 Chevy Silverado 1500 350 Vortec
when it is raining the wipers will stop, sometime they start back. I have to stop and tap the circuit board then they will work for awhile. Does anyone know where I can get a circuit board for it?

Seems to me there was a recall for this some time ago, you may want to check with dealer.

Same thing on my 91 half ton I used to have. I bought a new circuit board at O-Reilly's Auto Parts, don't remember the price, I've slept since then. Had to take the wiper electrical box lid off. The circuit board is a simple snap in connection. However, be sure to seal the box when you re-assemble. I used a very small bead of RTV around the edge to keep the water out.

Auto parts place or dealer has circuit boards.
Some times the dealer will take care of it on a recall for certain ones
Or most of the time you can fix your old one by soldering the bad solder joint in circuit board.

I removed the circuit board and it did have a circuit burn out, I replace the board, got it at Autozone 29.95. now let it rain, thanks every one for your help.

I problem will ask a lot more questions on here, every one here sounds like they know what they are talking about. I used to do a lot of work on cars and trucks in the 50s and 60s before the computer age took over. now I can check the oil on one, and got to old and stiff to do a lot on them. But there are always "Son-In- Laws.:) If I post to many questions let me know and I will stop. Thanks everyone.

You are welcome and.
Thanks for posting back how it went.
A person can never ask to many questions.
That is the way to learn and find out.
Good Luck
