rocker arm studs 94 sierra 4.3 w code

I bought a 96 sierra with a 4.3L. W code vorteck and the rockers were knocking. I pulled the covers off and most of the studs had groves cut in them from the rockers being loss for so long. I checked the local parts stores and am having no luck finding replacements studs . It seems that GM only used 10mm studs for 2 yrs. None of the part stores in my small town or the next city can get them. I found some and ordered them from ARP. But they require that you use the poly locks not a problem except that they stand up 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch taller than the arms and the valve covers will not fit also there are no baffles on the covers so that is not an option. Any help with finding either new stock hight 10mm studs or tall valve covers would help to save whats left of my sanity.:banghead:

By the way i am just fixing this problem to resale this truck so i don't want to buy new heads if i can keep from it.
