I just don’t want to make a wrong decision so thanks ahead of time for your reply’s and opinions!
I have a 2002 nissan sentra SE-R and it has 16in rims stock.. Like anyone else I want the car to look good that’s why i was hoping to stick 18's under it but my biggest concern is the ride & handling of the car.
1.Does quality of rim matter as must as quality of the tires?
2.is an 18in rim to big for the small sentra?
3.what kind of tires should i get for top notch handling? i dont drive in the snow and very little rain because i live in the desert.
4.is there some brands that are better then others?
5.Also where am I gunna find the best deal? Is there a standard for rim quality that I should look out for?

18s are too big.
quality of rim matters alot
get some high performance dry tires, like falken azenis rt615s or yoko advan neovas
most rim manufacturers wont tell you much if anything about their quality.
id suggest some name brands if you want good stuff.

05 series spec wheels look good on your car, esp if they are painted gunmetal or black, they are 17 inch rims which is a step over your 16s and can fit up to a 225/45/17 tire on them for improved handling. These rims also fit over brembo brakes if you decide to upgrade in that area in the future, these are one of a handful of rim sets that will clear big brakes. As far as tires, you get what you pay for. Falken makes a good tire as well as bf goodrich and if youre really feeling like a baller goodyear eagles are the shiz

dry weather only, you have to comprimise between wear and grip. if you want max grip, get some avon tech R cheater slicks. they have two 4/32 grooves down the middle and a DOT stamp on the side. thats the only thing different than race slicks. but they wear down to the cords in probably a week maximum of street driving. if you want better wear, get some UHP summer tires. like falken ST115. or goodyear eagles. if you want somewhere in the middle, get some falken RT615 or BFG G-force K-D

17X7 is the perfect wheel for your car. Buy cheep wheels, and you will see the clear coat coming off of them in no time. Either that, or they will break on you/bend/crack easily. Don't settle for anything less than a set of 5-600 dollar wheels. Mine were 850, but I got them on sale for 600. Look for the bargains. If you're worried about cost, I'd shoot for the 700 wheels. Usually a set of wheels around 700 dollars will look nice, and you can sleep soundly that they won't go to shit on you over night. Make sure you research them, also, so that you don't just buy an over priced crap set.
Remember, the lighter the better.

bmw rims usually come with a different bolt pattern (5x120mm iirc) and a different size hub indent thingy on the rim.
