HELP rough idle

My 1992 GMC 1/2 ton has a rough idle. and will eventually die. but only when its worned up i replaced the spark plugs ,wires, distributor cap, igniton moduel, and the batery, i dont know what else to do. :banghead: Any ideas

I would start by retrieving codes> Here is a link descibing procedure to test for codes:

What engine is it, how many miles??

Read and post codes.

Next thing I would try is some good fuel system cleaner, add to the tank stuff. Your injectors may be dirty.

Buy good brand stuff, like Techron available at Wal-Mart.

i had the same problem on my '99 sierra -- rough idle and hard to start when warm. i replaced the o2 sensors and it ran like new.
