hello,
i have a 2006 subaru impreza outback sport wagon.
the service schedule online and the one that came with my car say two different things about changing the oil. in one place it seems to say every 7,000 miles (which i'm sure is not right).
in another place it says 3,000 miles. however, where it says 3,000 miles, it also says to change the oil: "When the vehicle is used under severe driving conditions, the engine oil and filter should be changed every 3,750 miles". that statement contradicts what is listed in the service schedule because it is more than what they recommend.
so, what is the recommended mileage for oil changes?
also, if i am using fully synthetic oil, what is the recommended mileage?
does anyone know what kind of oil came stock in the new engine? (my car only has 2,800 miles on it right now.)
thanks for any help!!!!

If you have a mysubaru.com page, I would go by what it tells you.
I believe it is 3750 miles.
I believe it is 3750 miles.
