2001 eclipse

my mom has a 01 eclipse and the battery is good and so is the alternator. it i will not start.... when you go to start it, it sounds like the started is just clicking. i think it is the starter but im not sure my mom is convinced it is the battery but we got it tested and its fine, before all this happened after long trips when trying to start it again it would take a few times of turning the key it finally started but now nothing. there was also a gurgling sound in the rear end when it wouldn't start. any ideas

gurgling sound is just your fuel pump, no biggie. it is possible it is the starter. auto parts stores should be able to test it if you can get it off. not sure where it is on the car, but it should be at the union of the engien and transmission area.
