199 blazer steering wheel locked HELP!

Shut off the blazer and the key went to accessory and would not go back up to the off position to remove key.. is there some way i can get the key out and move the ignition back to where it should be and unlock the steering wheel? Never had any probs with the switch before. Ive seen some threads where it says to remove a brass plug on left side but i dont see one?

99 blazer with auto trans/column shifted

If I turn the key off while the steering wheel is not "relaxed" or bound up from not being centered, it "locks up" the keyswitch. You might try turning the steering wheel a tiny bit to the left or right to unbind the keyswitch.
