sway bar question

Does anyone know if the 91 std hatch has a front factory sway bar?

I don't think STDs had any, DX had a front, and Si had front and rear.

Yes there is one. If you want a cheap upgrade I think a stock Si bar is a little bigger.

is the si sway bar the same size as the dx swaybar?

Hmm....I would think that the Si is bigger. Thats what i would think, i'm not sure...even with the STD you'll need to upgrade LCA's so you have something to bolt the swaybar to.

I was thinking of going with a 22mm Progress bar for the rear, what do I need for that?

Nothing, you have a 91 so your lower control arms are the normal style. Even though they don't have the sway bar holes like a Si LCA's, they dont' need it. The progress bar mounts in different locations (on the shocks basicly) Progress will give you everything else you need to install it go ahead and get one. The progress rear bar is pretty kick ass i'm gettin one fairly soon off a friend. They make great springs to if your lookin to buy that sorta stuff yet.

would anyone here say that the Progress swaybar is better than Suspension Techniques? With the Progress bar mounted to the shocks, will it still work if you have a lower tie bar?

would there be any problems putting a lower tie bar on a 91 dx?

I have a Neuspeed Lower Tie Bar and ST Anti-Sway which bolts to the shocks and they fit nicely together...

How much did you pay for the rear ST swaybar? Did you have to get the front too or can you break a set?

How about a front teg sway bar? Will that fit? I dont know, maybe we shall see, since I have one sitting here beside me.

I read somewhere that its better to not have front swaybars on EF's. The chasis flex helps on traction because its front wheel drive...I wonder if its true?
