Good Evening,
I'm removing the gas tank in my 87 blazer I have undone the fuel lines wiring and straps. Right now the tank is on a floor jack.
My question is what is the easiest way to undo the filler neck at the bolts that hold it to the body or the clamp at the rubber hose that attaches to the neck?.
I see there is a a ground strap at the neck & another hose that is also attached at the filler neck!. This is why I'm not sure if I should or even can remove the whole thing as a unit or undo the clamps!. Any information would be a great help!. Thank You!

Leave the filler neck and vent tube attached to the vehicle. Remove the hose clamps, slide the hoses off and drop her down.

Hello
First Thank you all for the help you have given me on this problem I really appreciate everyone who has helped in my stupidity.
Which leads me to my question. I dropped the gas tank & took the fuel pump/sending unit out. I looked on the Internet for a replacement at a local parts store we have. I see where there unit if I were to buy the sending unit & fuel pump as one has a ground wire along with the tan which runs the pump & the pink which runs the fuel gage. Mine that I took out dose not have a ground wire. WHERE DOES THE UNIT GROUND OFF THE TANK OR IS THERE SUPOSE TO BE A GROUND WIRE THAT COMES OUT OF THE HARNESS?
It seems funny that my gage worked fine but like I said I only have two wires tan & pink where if I was to buy the whole unit at $258.00 comes with tan pink & a ground. Does anyone know why this is or where it picks up the ground? Thank you!
