P0300 is usually caused by problems in secondary ignition: plugs, wires, cap, rotor or ignition coil. Problems with fuel pressure can also cause it.

Fuel pressure must be 60 to 66psi key on, engine off, pump running. After pump shuts off, pressure must remain above 55psi for 3 to 5 minutes.
Use a spray bottle with water, and direct a mist over the coil area when the engine is running, and watch for stray sparks. If you do this at night, it's much easier to see the sparks. Without special test equipment, this is about as high tech as it gets!
