change oil light

after changing oil I am trying to get change engine oil light to
go out, heard push gas pedal to floor,turn key on and off 3 times.

Turn the key on and pump the gas pedel 3 - 5 times (light will go out) but you have to do it in the first 5 seconds of turning on the key.

Turn the key to the on position and slowly depress and release the gas pedal within 5 seconds.

If you have the digital display with the 4-6 buttons either on the steering wheel or on the dash to the right of the steering wheel, you must reset it using the buttons. I just press buttons until I find the "oil life" and then hold the reset button until I get "XXX%". I think it's the button with the picture of the road on it... but I havn't been the oil change guy in a long time.

And if it is the 3x pedal, sometimes you have to do it on the throttle body to get it to work.
