i own a 97 pontiac gp, the trac, abs, and air pressure light came on while driving it. when i stop and turn off the engine the lights turn off. when i start engine the lights stay off, until i start to drive and they all turn on. i replaced a new hub a few months ago but symptoms were different the lights would never turn off until i replaced with new hub.

sounds like either another wheel speed sensor issue (part of the hub as you already know) or an EBCM issue. A chassis code capable scan tool (they can't pull these codes at A-Z and Advance) would help to pin-point the problem. You could also check the connectors at the hubs for broken wires or corrosion, and resistance of the hub wheel speed sensor (it should be about 1k ohms).

hello thanks for the reply. i checked all of wheel sensors and have readings 1K. when i start the car the lights disappear and when i drive approx 1/2 mile or more or the abs trac and air pressure light up.could it be a wheel bearing going bad? when i get a reading from the sensor 1k does this mean the bearing is fine?
thanks for the help

IT means it's fine as it sets. If it's a moisture intrusion issue, or if there is a bad spot on the ABS sensor reluctor, then it could cause the light to trip as you drive but it will read fine while stetting. I would have it scanned as this will pin-point it for you, especially if it's an intermittent problem.

Here is an earlier link of what I tried. I have not taken mine in to be scanned but it is my next step. Good luck.

hello all thanks for the info about 97 gp. i have another questiion i had the car in garage all day and took another spin and no lights came on. i believe the issue is moisture also, would it be worth the time to spray some type of waterproff spray on exposed wires on sensors, and if so any recommendations of sprays to use?

You can start by removing the electrical connector to the wheel sensor at each hub. Inspect the contacts, wiring and seal. You can use electrical contact cleaner to help clear any possible moisture and remove corrosion.
