99 Concorde - Trunk stuck

The trunk on my concorde got stuck (for the second time) yesterday. I took it to the dealer the last time and he had to remove the back seat to open it ($90 charge).

I'm not sure why this happened again; nevertheless I need to open it now thru the arm-rest opening in the backseat - no other option. I'm not going to try to remove the back seat myself.

Any ideas on how to go about this ? and a permanent (reasonable) fix ?
