4WD Troubles

Just turing around in a parking lot, I was in Auto 4X4, as I was turning it turned on the Service 4WD light. Now I'm stuck in 4 HI. It only turns to Auto and 4 HI. What happened?

A few more details would help.
Year and mileage transfer what case?
Has the transfer case ever been serviced with the correct GM fluid?
If the service 4W light stays on you need to check for codes with a transmission capable scanner and post back code no.
