Ok so I have a 1985 Thunderbird almost mint condition, and I'm looking to get more power in the car. I have the 3.8 L V6 and I want to put a V8 in it but I am not sure what engine to put or what I would need to change in order to put a bigger engine in it. So if you have any advice I am open to anything. Thanks,Tyler

a 302 goes in about the easiest and still the lightest of the v8s to do a correct swap ull need motor mounts new front springs all the brackets for the engine, and another thing is you will want to get a differant rearend if you plan on getting any power out of it the v6 cars only had the 7.5 inch rearend the v8s had the 8.8 personally a 9 inch ford is teh best way to go but not the cheapest. if you plan on using fuel injection you have to swap out wiring harnesses and computers and all the goodies.
