4WD Hub won't lock in....!

I have a '93 Geo Tracker 4WD.

It is snowing here in Washington State's East side of late!

My right side HUB won't lock in.

The selector goes to "Lock", but doesn't make the connection.

Questions:

1. Is there some way to "bash" it to make it lock in?

2. Can it be lubed with WD-40 to get the parts moving?

3. How hard is it to take such a Hub apart to fix it?

4. Are hubs easily changed out with another used hub?
