97 Aurora will not start..possible fuel problem

My car stopped on the way to the store,:banghead: lights started flickering earlier that week. Changed alternater, battery is great but car still will not start. 8th take worth of gas but water is shootin from the injectors. Im not sure how much dry gas to use if any.......Or do I need to drop the tank or change fuel pump!!! If anyone can please let me know!!!!!!!

You don't have to drop or open the fuel tank. In your trunk is the access point to your fuel pump. Pull the floorcovering up on front passenger side. You will see a easy to remove panel. Disconnect the fuel line (depressurizing the system first, jumping a injector is the easiest way I have found) and hook up a long hose to the pressure side. I used a old gas can to put the bad fuel in. Jumper the fuel pump relay (in the rear relay center under the back seat) and it will pump all the old bad fuel out for you.
After you reassemble the car, put new fresh fuel and a bottle of Heat in it and you will be good to go.
