I wanted to know what is the difference between the Euro 1982 Caprice and the American one because my friend suggested I convert my Caprice to the Euro front and rear.

I was considering doing this to mine as well, basicly the front grille and headlights look a little different, the headlights are smaller bulbs instead of the square sealed beam lamps, and the rear lights are one solid peice across instead of three individual lights like we have. personally i like the euro type better but the early 80s look arent bad either. this is the euro front and rear ends: http://a188.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/26/l_80a539621b545fcda3d9dc7cfbc9081b.jpg

I think he is probably talking about the 87-90 front/rear...

So basically the Euro Caprice is just the 87-90 Caprice?

You got it. If you have any junk yards around, I'm sure you can pull complete front and rear pieces off of any '87-'90 Caprice for a little $$$.
If you do convert, I'll be glad to buy the original pieces from you, assuming they're in good shape.

yeah sorry forgot to mention some people call it the "euro front/rear" or "90s front and rear" a few different names

It's called the 'euro front' because it uses composite headlamps, which first appeared on European cars. The '87-'90 use the same header panel, which has a more gracious appearance than cars made before '85 - it's smoother and less blocky.

I've noticed some box caprice owners like the euro style better and put them on their early 80s cars, i would do it but im kinda lazy and dont feel like going through the hassle of removing them and putting the other ones on, especially since theres nothing wrong with mine anyway, no dents or cracks.

So what parts would I need to do the conversion just the headlight panel and the tailight panel?

Those, and some minor wiring harness detail for the headlights (different connectors) and taillights possibly.

These are pretty cool looking tailights off the pontiac parrisenne, they might fit onto a caprice as well http://home.columbus.rr.com/tdew/pp4.JPG

Those are gauranteed to fit on any pre-86 boxy Caprice. If you look and compare the surrounding pieces are identical to the Caprices of those years.

yeah on those pontiacs they basicly just took a caprice and rebagged it, even the dash and interiors look the same.
