Door Ajar

Every time I shut my drivers door the door ajar warning comes up. If the door is not closed all the way the warning signal stays on, so it works the way it should in that respect,but now when I shut the door all the way the warning signal still comes on "once", then turns of. It never did this before is the sensor going bad?
