blazer problem...

i got a 96 blazer 4wd with 171100 miles 2 weeks ago i replaced the fuel pump with a brand new acdelco pump yesterday i was having some fun in the snow with it just dieded. now the pump will come on but it makes a tick tick tick nosie not a humm also i put more gas the more ticks ?? has anyone ever had this problem

I'd say check your connections before pulling the tank and make sure your conenctions are clean and tight. Other than that, the next step is to pull it again.
