does anyone know where i can get 2007 3.0 engine brand new not rebuilt.
i have a 91 ranger starts every time but the engine is tired with over 270 000 kilometers on it and leaks oil and coolant from the head.

Sounds like ya just need to replace the head gaskets and possibly the heads, but if you want a brand spankin new motor try and call your local Ford authorized dealer/mechanic to get that information. I must say if you have the money I too would just go with a brand new motor instead of replacing parts. :)

You used to be able to order them on the web site, but i am pretty sure that they discontinued the 3.0 vaulcan used in 91. In all honsety though i think it would be easier/quicker to just put new gaskets on the old motor.
Then agian, it is old, i would check out ford's website, and if that fails go to your local ford dealer.

A brand new 3.0 motor designed for the 2007/08 ranger should work, I doubt they have changed the bellhousing but may have changed motor mounts....and very high possibility that he will have to change the computer in it.

He's looking at 16 years worth of R&D plus new pollution controls not even dreamed up in 91. He'll have to change the computer. As for the other, well, any motor can be made to fit in any compartment, it all depends on how comfortable you are with fabbing. :)
