Hey guys! Winter is here, and my Contour has always hated winter, this morning (at 6:15!!) it was about 20 degrees, and my car wouldn't turn over. -- It would turn over, you could hear her working, but she just couldn't fire off.
I was going to head down the street and ask the Advanced Auto Parts guys if they had any reccomendations for engine block heaters. Right now, I don't really anything, but I need one that will be quick, and possibly one I can install this coming weekend when I have more time.
Any suggestions, does anyone else have this problem?
Thanks!
Tom.

How old are the plugs? You may want to pull them to take a look at the condition of them.
What are they gapped at?

Might want to go to a less viscous oil such as 5-30. Also, cold weather will finish off a marginal battery. Have your's load tested. Major parts outlets will check it for free.

5W-30 is already the oil that should be in his motor. Its whats specified in the owners manual.
