Grinding Noise While Turning

My '97 Jimmy recently developed an odd grinding noise when making sharp turns at low speed. Whatever is going on doesn't affect the steerability of the truck but If I try to brake while turning the brake pedal vibrates and I am unable to brake properly. Any thoughts?

Sounds like bad hub bearings causing ABS to engage.

Sounds like bad hub bearings causing ABS to engage.
Ours went in 48 hours, up until then it sounded like '4x4' road noise
without any grinding at all. But within a 48 hour period, grinding
started as you mentioned and then blew out the bearings. Thankfully
we had a great shop who could tow it as we were 60 miles from them
easily! So don't wait - get it handled ASAP.
ABS light came on with ours at the end, they said the bearing
popping knocked out the sensor on that DF side but we had some
of the pulsing as well that matches the ABS system engaging as
this gent mentioned.
