1995 3.8l v6 wont run

The car just didn't want to start up out of nowhere. And sounded like it was backfiring when attempting. The cam and crank sensors were then replaced and the cam magnet is still present. When attempting to start, it sounds as if it is occasionally firing out the exhaust and intake. I assumed timing, but it is distributorless.
